Holiday Letter 2013

Here we are at the end of the year again.

This has been a busy year, what else is new? I have been doing Scentsy full time and also working here and there at childcare homes. I cover when a provider needs a couple of hours or a few days off. I forgot how labor intensive childcare can be!

In October, a friend who has a daycare home expanded from 6 kids to 12. I'm working with her 3 days a week. Although, Scentsy is still my main focus.

In March, I was invited to a directors retreat in Las Vegas. Lots of training and sharing. The resort that we were at was terrific! I want to go back!

In July, I went to Indianapolis for the yearly Scentsy convention.

Peter is still working at Budweiser. He (we) did several car shows and Concours this year.

August was the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Peter and I went up to Monterey/Carmel for about a week (we didn't take Maggie this time). Peter entered his car in the Carmel Concours and got first place.

In November, Peter shipped the Corvette to Chicago. We flew in and stayed for almost a week. His car was in the M.C.A.C.N. (huge car show). He got the silver trophy. It was a great trip - we had a lot of fun. There was a great German restaurant within walking distance and a comedy club where we went to see Gilbert Gottfried one night. It was really cold - the coldest Peter has ever been! But we didn't get snow until we were on the plane, looking out the window.

We went on a cruise in September. Just a 7 day up and down the coast. We had fun in San Francisco. The other stops were Santa Barbara (about an hour from home), San Diego and Ensenada. Peter only got off in San Francisco. We couldn't pass up the price, and we love to cruise, so it was a nice, relaxing vacation.

Our weather here in So.Cal. has been strange this year. Didn't have as much heat as usual. And, now, it's very COLD. Like Chicago! (Almost)

Kenny and Jordan have parted ways. She is off pursuing her modeling career. Kenny is still in his condo in Palm Springs. He's working with someone doing lots of data input and research work. He's getting into camping.

He's been in the hospital several times this year with kidney stones. He's been in horrible pain, but it takes forever to get an appointment with a urologist.

Katrina broke up with her boyfriend and moved to Palm Springs for awhile this year. She was living with Kenny and working at Alex's dog grooming salon. But now she's back in Santa Clarita.

I broke down and joined Weight Watchers again. So far, I've lost about 20 pounds.

We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season and an abundant new year.
